Ambrosia Maple is a type of maple wood that develops distinctive, colorful streaks and patterns caused by a fungus introduced by the ambrosia beetle. When the beetle bores into the tree, it carries a fungus that stains the wood in shades of brown, gray, green, and black, creating unique, marbled, or abstract-looking figuring.
